Rest and Relaxation
Spring Break is in the past. We had a wonderful week! I mentioned that my mom was coming for a visit. She arrived last Tuesday and will be here until Wednesday. I did not mention, however, that I was planning an escape! Thanks to two babysitters named Grandma (my MIL) and Grammy (my mom), I was able to accompany my husband on one of his work trips for two and a half days. His meeting was at the Boca Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Florida. I haven't been anywhere without children since July of 2005, so this was quite a treat (although I admit that I cried when I left the kids).
My hubby was in meetings the entire time, so I enjoyed the scenery, read, and relaxed. I have never been to Europe, but the resort had a very Spanish/European feel to it. This was the environment I enjoyed for two days...

I had two favorite reading spots. In the first, I could sit with a view of the water behind me and a beautiful courtyard in front of me.

In my other reading spot, I sat under a tile overhang next to a lovely croquet field. I didn't know people really played croquet! I could never participate in this sport because you have to wear all white. I can't even imagine having all white outfits and children in the same house. :)
I spent most of my time reading, but I also took a short walk on the beach and slept a little more than usual. Thanks so much to Grandma and Grammy for making the trip possible. Now, I am ready to return to the real world!
