Sometimes It's Good To Be Sure They Are Hearing What We Are Saying
My Best Girl's Bible class teacher came to talk with me on Sunday. She wanted to apologize for what my Best Girl has been learning. I was confused until she explained. The three-year-olds are studying the miracles of Jesus. Every week, they talk about how Jesus healed the blind man, Jesus healed the lepers, Jesus healed the lame man, etc...
Last week, my Best Girl was visibly upset in class, so her teacher asked what was wrong. My Best Girl exclaimed, "But I don't want Jesus to kill me!" Apparently, every time the teachers said the word healed, my Best Girl heard the word killed. She wasn't ready to follow Jesus if it meant her death!
I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that the teachers have changed their terminology. They are now saying, "And Jesus made them all better!"
