Never a Dull Moment
My Best Girl and I pulled into our subdivision about 12:30 yesterday afternoon. After a busy morning, I was looking forward to a little quiet time during her nap. As we pulled into the garage, she started crying, "I have a bead stuck in my nose!"
Oh, yes. She had pushed a large plastic bead into her nose (from the jewelry making kit left by the Easter bunny). It was so far into her nose that I couldn't even see it. After several minutes of her trying to blow it out and a great deal of crying and screaming (her, not me), I called the doctor's office. They told us to come in immediately. Dreadfully, I headed for the door. I didn't know exactly what they would have to do, but I knew it would not be pleasant for any of us.
Thankfully, as we were walking to the car, my Best Girl was able to blow the bead out. I let the doctor's office know the problem was solved, and I got my Best Girl settled down and into her bed for nap time. When I asked her what she had learned, she shared her new found wisdom: Never stick anything in your nose except boogers.
I am sure you could think of many words to describe the role of a mother, but boring is certainly not one of them!
