Summer Fun
Summer is in full swing. Two weeks ago, I wore a heavy coat to my Best Girl's softball game, and now it's 95! I love hot weather, so I am welcoming summer with open arms.
The kids and I spent last week at our favorite place (Disney World), and I'll post more about that soon. This week, my Favorite Boy is participating in basketball camp, playing baseball games, and swimming. Both kids got to try indoor rock climbing for the first time yesterday (my Best Girl was quite the climber), and we plan to fit in a trip to the library and the movie theater soon.
My Best Girl has swim lessons this week, and she also started a garden class sponsored by our local farmer's market. Today, they learned that a weed is a plant that grows where it is not wanted, but all plants have a purpose. She even got to taste a few of the weeds that were growing in the field and help with the compost pile. The kids also enjoyed playing with the bugs; cicadas are EVERYWHERE. (I have a great picture of her playing with the bugs, but it disappeared from the file when I edited it. I'm not savvy enough to figure out where it is.) I do not have a green thumb, so I am excited for her to participate in this class, and even more excited that it is free!

Our summer is off to a great start. I'll share more soon!

The gene pool for loving this 90+ degree weather did not come from your mother!! I prefer winter anytime to this stuff!! In fact I prefer cold to heat all the time. Loved the photos and hearing about your summer. Momma
