Spring Break, Part Two
While I am in catch-up mode, I'll backtrack to our Spring Break Disney trip (I wrote about the first part of our trip HERE). During the middle portion of our trip, we visited Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. At Epcot, we started the morning with some of our favorites: Soarin', Mission: Space, and Test Track. Later, we visited Journey Into the Imagination. This is a corny ride, but my kids love it.
After leaving the Imagination Pavilion, we were happily surprised to run into friends from church. The girls had a good visit, and then we headed to the World Showcase area.
My Best Girl enjoys a certain popsicle at WDW. It's called an Itzakadoozie. She's always a sticky rainbow mess when she finishes!
While in the World Showcase area, we divided up so the kids could do Kim Possible adventures separately. My Favorite Boy and I headed over to England to fight crime while my Best Girl and Dad headed to France. Thankfully, all bad guys were defeated.

After saving the world, my Favorite Boy and Dad headed to Innoventions for some video games and interactive fun. My Best Girl and I visited the butterfly garden (the Flower and Garden Festival was in full swing) and enjoyed Test Track again.

After a full day, we headed back to the hotel for some swimming and relaxation.
Because it was spring break season, Magic Kingdom opened every morning at 8. Since we are early risers, we were there and ready to enjoy the next day. We had about three hours in the park with no lines before the crowds showed up, so we were able to do a lot. We've now been to Disney many times, and one of our favorite things is taking pictures with characters we haven't seen before. My kids were excited to visit with Pinocchio and the White Rabbit for the first time (I got to see Pinocchio in February during my half-marathon trip as well).

The kids always enjoy the Indy cars. I am very thankful my Best Girl won't be driving a real car for a while.
As usual, the three mountains (Space, Splash, and Big Thunder) ranked at the top of our favorites list!

Not only do we enjoy finding characters we haven't met, but we also like to find characters in different costumes. We were thrilled to run into Mickey in his George Washington costume at the Hall of Presidents!
In the early afternoon, we stopped for one of our favorite treats: a Sleepy Hollow funnel cake. After that, the boys headed to Disney Quest to play video games while my Best Girl and I enjoyed Magic Kingdom for a while longer.
We all met up in Downtown Disney and headed to Chili's for dinner. They happened to have a balloon artist there, so we left with souvenirs. It was a great finish to a fantastic day!
