Easter and Softball
I guess Easter and softball aren't usually combined, but I since I am trying to catch up, I ask for leniency.
My Best Girl is having a fun softball season. Last fall, she hit well, but she was more concerned with playing in the dirt than paying attention in the field. This season is completely different! My Best Girl goes after every ball no matter where it is on the field (this is humorous when she is playing second base and the ball is hit to third); we are so proud of her for hustling! During one game, she got to play the pitcher position for the first time, and she was grinning from ear to ear. That same night, her teacher showed up to watch her play, and my Best Girl also got a big hit. This was a special evening for my Best Girl!

Easter Sunday was wonderful. We had NO BALLGAMES, so we were able to wake up, enjoy the Easter baskets, and go to worship without worrying about schedules of any kind. Although I haven't had any sugar since March 30th, my kids enjoyed some sweet treats and hunting for eggs. We enjoyed the low-key family day! (I am so bad about not getting a picture when my kids have their church clothes on. By the time we are ready, we usually don't have time for pictures. Maybe next year!)
