Hodge Podge
Well, I have now stepped into the 21st Century. My husband has had a BlackBerry through his work for quite some time, but I only used my cell phone as just a phone. Last week, I added a texting plan, so I am feeling very cool. Additionally, we got an iPad! It is a 3G version (of the "old" iPad), and I am very excited about that. Because my husband's laptop and phone are tied to his work, they are restricted from sites like Google mail, Yahoo, etc... I am glad that I will be able to check email and other things while on the go or out-of-town. I am feeling very up-to-date (which will last only a few months before the new cool things come out).
On Sunday, my kids and I went to see Goodnight Moon at the Nashville Children's Theatre. I wondered how they would be able to turn the book into a play, but it was so cute. Goodnight Moon was the first book I read to my Favorite Boy, so it was extra special to me.
I have to share this. My Best Girl is a firecracker, but she can be super sweet. She LOVES to give to others. On Friday, her teacher told me that my Best Girl leaves some of her snack on the teacher's desk every day. My Best Girl doesn't realize that the teacher knows it is her. One day the teacher commented out loud that the popcorn chips were so good, and a few minutes later, there were more on her desk. This is the picture her teacher sent to me yesterday (look for the pretzel chips).
We are looking forward to a fun weekend! My brother and his family are arriving tonight from New Mexico. We'll be heading to my parents' house tomorrow night to hang out with them. My kids are so excited to see their cousins. I am sure I will have a lot of cute pictures to share!

We went and saw Goodnight, Moon yesterday. I was wondering how they were going to stretch that book into a full play, but it was sweet!
Congrats on all the fun new tech things! I didn't text until I got my iphone a couple of years ago and even now, I have the lowest plan that AT&T has (100 msgs a month). I know you're going to LOVE the ipad, esp when you travel. How cool!
Hope you're having fun visiting with family, how great they are coming to see everyone! Have a great time :)
P.S. If you ever get Words with Friends for your iPad, let me know! I play a LOT on my iphone, and so does Gail and a lot of our family. It's fun, sort of like Scrabble, and there's a free version for the phone, not sure if it's free for the iPad. Fun, fun, fun :)
So sweet! That is actually exactly how I would describe Kyle -- a firecracker, but very sweet and sensitive.
It will be fun to meet! We need to exchange cell phone numbers.
I too will have email. I have a great new prepaid plan that includes email -- my first time as well.
