New Goals
I am a goal-oriented person. For the past 13 months, I had the Disney Princess race to motivate me. Now I need new goals!
In 2011, I hope to participate in at least one more 5K, 10K and half-marathon. I am thinking that I may do a 10K in April, at least one 5K in early to mid-summer, and the Women's Half in Nashville in September. Of course, that leaves several more months in 2011, so I may add something else in the last few months. Training for the half in September will be tough for me because I have the kids 24/7 during the summer (which I love, but it does make solo mommy activities difficult), and we will have baseball tournaments on many weekends. I am going to do my best to get the training done because I think that I will enjoy another women's event.
Since running has dominated my posting lately, I'll move on to new topics for a while, but I wanted to set my goals. That keeps me motivated!

You are really into it now aren't you!
I bet Nashville will have some hills too? I remember you said there were a couple at Disney....I live in VERY flat land and the slightest hill scares me!
Wow! You've turned into a hard core runner :) Good for you, those are great goals, and I'm sure continuing the training you're already accustomed to will be a wee bit easier than getting to that point. Or at least, it seems logical to a non-runner like me :)
Have a great day, Lauren! :)
Finding time to run when the kids are home will be tough, but with your dedication and determination, I'm sure you will. I love reading about your running "journey". It makes me want to run, but we all know that isn't happening any time soon. :-)
