Valentine's Day Fun
My husband and I don't celebrate much on Valentine's Day (his opinion is that Valentine's Day is a holiday created by the card companies). :) However, we do make it a fun family day. Last night, we went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner and had a great time.
I give the kids the same present every year: candy and a Shutterfly photo album from the year before (this year's books chronicled 2010). It always makes me smile when my Favorite Boy peruses his book. He loves looking through the pictures from the previous year. Although he tries to be Mr. Tough Guy, this reminds me that he does have a little bit of a sentimental side!

After dinner, we went to Kripsy Kreme for dessert. We had some of their Valentine cards, so we were able to choose one free doughnut each. My Best Girl wanted a sample-sized ice cream cone instead, so she nicely gave her doughnut to her brother.

We enjoyed our Valentine's Day! Of course, the kids started Tuesday morning off with an argument. I guess all the loving feelings don't last indefinitely. :)

That sounds like fun! =) We brought dinner in and then played some games. Nothing really big or exciting but having spent the majority of the day dealing with pregnancy related issues -it was a calm and peaceful end to the day!
Shutterfly books from the previous year are such a great idea! I need to start doing something like that since I don't scrapbook.
