Nightstand--January
It's time for the monthly Nightstand carnival at 5 Minutes for Books. My reading has slowed down over the last few months, but I am hoping to pick up the pace in the coming weeks. These books are in my current pile:
Parenting by The Book
by John Rosemond
Another Dawn
by Kathryn Cushman
Promises to Keep
by Ann Tatlock
Logged On and Tuned Out
by Vicki Courtney
The Maker's Diet
by Jordan Rubin
I hope to finish all of these by the next carnival. To see the lists of others, be sure to visit 5 Minutes for Books today!

I'll look forward to your thoughts on these. Only the first title is familiar to me, but 'Logged On and Tuned Out' sounds quite interesting too. (And possibly convicting...:-)
Woo hoo - John Rosemond. I love his PC approach, even if at times I think he's a bit harsh. I think his viewpoint is sorely needed in today's culture.
Since I read the reviews on Amazon, I look forward to your thoughts on The Maker's Diet. Logged On and Tuned Out also sounds interesting to me. Happy reading in February. My Nightstand post is up.
I think the only one I have heard of is the one about parenting. I wish you well on finishing them!
Definitely still looking forward to reading your thoughts on The Makers Diet. I'm sure you'll have interesting things to share and say!
Great list! I've benefitted from John Rosemond & Maker's Diet is a fascinating read! The Vicki Courtney book sounds interesting...I've read others by her.
LOVE Parenting by the Book. It stays on my nightstand.
Great list! I read The Maker's Diet a couple of years ago and loved it. So much good information in there. And the resources section in the back is priceless!
I will get to see Rosemond at a conference this spring, but I've never read any of his books. That book by Courtney sounds convicting (I believe Janet said it first).
Five books sounds do-able - good luck with your list!
I know I am supposed to be clicking the book links and checking those out but instead I went straight to all the Disney pics - LOVE WDW! Your girl is so brave to be riding roller coasters already - looks like y'all had a greta time, I am jealous - It's been awhile since we have been and I miss it!
PS - Thanks for stopping by my nightstand!
I saw that book by Ann Tatlock and got stuck. "Ann Tatlock, Ann Tatlock. Why do I recognize that name?" I looked her up and realized that I read her debut novel A Room of My Own way back in the day (10 years ago?) Now that I see it, I remember enjoying it. Maybe I should pick her up again and try some more of her novels... Hmm...
