What's On My Nightstand - August
I'm running a little behind with my monthly Nightstand post, so here's a brief summary of the books in my pile.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
: My Favorite Boy and I are reading the series together. He lost interest for a little while, but he's wanting to start again. I am reading ahead of him, and I am about halfway through this book. It's fun to read them together!
Maker's Diet
: Because of my new interest in food and nutrition, a friend recommended this book to me. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Between Two Worlds
: This book has been in my pile for a while, and I finally started it this morning. It's about a journalist who was held in a prison in Iran, and it's fascinating so far. More to come in a review soon!
The Lovely Bones
: This book has also been in my pile for a while. I will read it this month!
The Scarlet Letter
: The Classics Bookclub is quickly approaching. I really want to participate, so I am going to start the readable classics version of The Scarlet Letter this week. I read the original in high school, so I am excited to read this.

I've been seeing Between Two Worlds around here and there--I'll definitely be watching for your review.
Classics Bookclub! ACH! Yes. So glad you reminded me of that....!
I LOVED The Scarlet Letter back in high school-- can't wait to hear what you think about you re-read. :)
What do you think of Harry Potter? Two of my girls loved the books and urged me to read them. I read #1, but just couldn't get into it!
Tell Susan that I felt the same way about HP #1. I had already bought #2, and people just raved, and in my opinion it picked up a LOT.
And yeah, my Classic isn't finished either, and it's one week from today!!
Ooh, The Scarlet Letter. I read that in high school and hated it. I should read it again as an adult and see if I like it. Happy reading!
Happy reading!
Lots of good books, hope you guys enjoy the HP one together. I'm probably the only reader in America who hasn't read those books (but we did just start watching the movies). Can't wait to hear what you think about The Maker's Diet :) Oh, and I also have a copy of Lovely Bones but can't seem to bring myself to read it... :(
