Happy New Year!
Happy 2011! It's difficult to believe I started blogging four years ago today! Of course, last January, I accidentally deleted my old blog, and I haven't recovered it all yet. I guess that can be on my goal list for 2011.
I plan to post about some goals for the new year, but I'm just too tired from staying up all the way until 11:00 last night. :) No, we didn't welcome in the New Year at midnight, but since my Best Girl was up before 6:30, we were probably some of the earliest risers on New Year's Day!
We had a fun New Year's Eve. We started the evening by having our next-door neighbors over for pizza. This family is not just our neighbors, we are also close friends who have the blessing of being part of the same church family. We are so thankful they moved in three years ago. Our get-together was a fun way to start New Year's Eve!

After our dinner, we all headed to a New Year's Eve party with church friends. This is an annual event (although we don't stay as late as we did before we had kids). Each year, we let the kids stay a little later than the year before. This time, we left a little after ten. My kids are always upset when they have to leave early, but when they don't sleep late on New Year's Day, we have confirmation that we made the right decision!
The past two weeks have been so much fun, and I plan to write a wrap-up post. Then, we'll be back to our regular schedule and ready to tackle 2011!
