Small Talk at the Ballpark
(Post from former blog)
I mentioned that my favorite boy had his first game on Saturday. I just had to share a conversation he had with his dad during the game. My favorite boy hit the ball all the way to the fence. He was so proud! Unfortunately, the ball was just foul on the first base side (he is a lefty). My husband was at first base, so he called the ball foul. This is the conversation that took place between father and son.
Dad: Great hit son, but you have to go back.
My favorite boy: Why?
Dad: I called it foul.
My favorite boy: Well why did you do that?
Here he is running back home to try again. If you look closely, you can see that Dad is still laughing about the conversation.

First Game
(Post from my former blog)
It is in the 30s today, but we toughed out the weather for my son's first baseball game. He had so much fun! For those of you who know my math-minded child, you will appreciate this conversation.
Me: Was your game as fun as you thought it would be?
Favorite Boy: No.
Me: I thought you had a great time! You didn't think it was fun?
Favorite Boy: I thought it would be 97% fun, but it was really 105% fun!
I think it is safe to say that he enjoyed it. Here is a picture of my favorite boy (on the left end) with his four buddies from church who are also on his team.

Small Talk in Worship
(Post from former blog)
During a prayer in church tonight, my daughter interrupted the solemn moment with the sound of a certain body function and the exclamation, "I passed grass!" What a proud moment for us. Hope your Sunday was equally precious!
