Spring Fun
We are having a wonderful spring. The weather has been warm, and we are all ready for summer! We had a taste of summer during spring break, and I am looking forward to a few months of relaxed schedules and no homework!
At the beginning of spring break, the kids spent the night with Grammy and Papa. When they returned home, they found some fun surprises waiting for them.
We enjoyed several fun outings during spring break, like seeing Click, Clack, Moo! at the Children's Theater and visiting a family fun center with friends. On the Saturday of Easter weekend, my Favorite Boy had a double header, and we had dinner and an egg hunt with his team. During one of the games, my Favorite Boy bunted for the first time in a game, and it was perfect. He advanced the runners and made it to first! It may never happen that way again, but it was fun for him, and great to see the big smile on his face.
Easter morning, the kids woke up to some goodies, and after worship, we enjoyed lunch and another egg hunt with a large group of friends from church. The weather was perfect, and it was a wonderful way to spend the day.
Even Oreo got to play with her best friend, Trigger!
Spring also means softball, and my Best Girl is playing well. She is quite the slugger. While she enjoys the game more with every season, she still likes to sneak out of the dugout during the games to visit me every now and then.
Finally, we spent this last weekend in Cookeville, TN, playing in a baseball tournament. We spent lots of hours at the ballpark, but the kids' favorite part was the pizza and playing in the pool at the hotel.

Egg Hunt Winners (for those of you reading who went to college with me, that's Brent and Emily High's son on the left). |

We are so thankful for this season of the year, but also this season of life. This time with my children is precious!
